Which tank is it for? The Mini box is made for nano tanks, shrimp tanks, and small desktop aquascapes, where a full-size tree would crowd the layout. Pieces are smaller than in our other boxes and may include thin branches or imperfect shapes. It is also a simple way to try bonsai driftwood before you plan a bigger scape. For a betta tank or a small planted layout that needs more trees, compare the Small box (5+ trees in an 8 x 8 x 8 in box).

See what you get in a random box →The Mini box is meant for nano tanks, shrimp tanks, and small desktop aquascapes. It holds 3+ small natural bonsai-style driftwood trees (an estimate, not a guarantee), and its pieces are smaller than in the Small, Medium, or Large boxes.
Shrimp keepers often use driftwood because biofilm grows on the wood and shrimp graze on it. Natural driftwood may release tannins. We recommend rinsing, soaking, or boiling when possible before adding driftwood to an aquarium, using clean water only (no soap, bleach, or chemicals). Add it to an established tank and watch your shrimp after adding it.
Orders ship once per week, every Wednesday from Texas. If you place your order before Wednesday's shipping cutoff, your box ships that Wednesday. Orders placed after the cutoff ship the following Wednesday.
Bonsai Driftwood ships only to the Lower 48 US states + DC. It does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or outside the US. Shipping on the Mini box is free.
No, the Mini box is a random assortment. You choose the box size and we pack the trees from remaining stock. Shapes, sizes, and colors vary, and photos are samples only.
No, the Mini box is final sale. Every Bonsai Driftwood box is sold as-is with no returns or exchanges. Minor tip or branch breakage in shipping can happen with natural driftwood.
